Jose Guillen cracked a homer and had 2 RBI at the ballpark as the Burbank
Tigers beat the floundering Dublin Pubcrawlers by the count of 9 to
1.
Dublin fell behind quickly as the Burbank offense came through in the first
inning with 2 runs on 3 hits. After two outs Larry Bigbie initiated the
scoring spurt when he banged out a single. Guillen next to the plate and he
delivered a single. Carlos Pena then doubled which was good for two runs.
That early scoring was all that Gil Meche(3-4) needed. Dublin was out-hit by
Burbank, 14 hits to 4.
Jamey Wright(3-9) was charged with the loss. He was knocked around pretty
good, giving up 7 runs in 6 innings.
